December 31st, 2009

Thinking about taking a last minute trip for New Years? San Diego is the perfect location. San Diego has hundreds of events going on around the city. From affordable dinner packages to extravagant New Years parties, there is sure to be something for everyone.

Here are a few great New Year’s eve websites.

The Coronado Inn is perfect for celebrating the San Diego festivities. The Coronado Inn is just a short ferry ride across the bay from downtown San Diego.  I highly recommend visiting Coronado / San Diego during this time of year.

Christmas in Coronado

December 28th, 2009

There has never been a better time to visit Coronado. Coronado is in the middle of its holiday celebrations and you don’t want to miss out on the festivities. This past week a parade opened up the holiday season. The parade included hundreds of citizens dressed in holiday attire walking down Orange Avenue and included Santa riding on a fire truck. The parade concluded with Santa lighting the famous Coronado Christmas tree. Review a short video of the event below:

There are still many events to come. Some of the main events are the Annual Artisan’s Alley Craft Fair, the Annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights and the Port of San Diego Big Bay Balloon Parade. If you would like more information on the events visit eCoronado.com. My personal favorite is the Hotel Del Skating by the Sea. Each December the Hotel Del Coronado builds an ice rink on the Coronado beach. It is a unique opportunity to ice skate in view of the Pacific Ocean.

The Coronado Inn is perfect place to stay for the holidays. The Coronado Inn is offering its lowest rates of the year with rooms starting at $89 on the weekdays. We hope you will come visit Coronado this holiday season.
