Getting to & from the Airport

The San Diego International Airport is the closest airport to the Coronado Inn. Located just 10 miles or a 15-20 minute drive from the Coronado Inn, the San Diego International Airport is an easy commute by either car, cab or shuttle. (Google Directions)

1. Get on N Harbor Drive - (1.5 miles on Harbor Drive)

2. Turn Left of W Grape Street - (.4 miles)

3. Merge Right on to I-5 South- (2.5 miles)

4. Take Exit Ca-75 South Towar Coronado- (2.3 miles)

5. Take the Exit toward Glorietta Blvd - (.2 miles)

6. Glorietta Blvd turns slightly Left and becomes 2nd Street - (.4 miles)

7. Turn Left at Orange Avenue - (479 feet)

8. Arrive at the Coronado Inn at the end of the block on the Right.

Public Transportation

The Bus is an easy way to travel from the Coronado Inn to local shops and restaurants. There are 2 Metropoliton Transit System bus routes that service Coronado. The recommended route, the MTS 901, costs $2.25 stops directly outside the Coronado Inn and travels down Orange avenue toward the Coronado Beach. For the MTS 901 schedule click here.

The second bus route in Coronado is the MTS 904 costing $1.00. The 904 departs from the Coronado Ferry Landing, 2 blocks from the Coronado Inn(map), and travels down Orange Avenue toward the Coronado Beach. For the MTS 904 schedule click here. (619) 233-3004

Bicycles

Bicycles are an ideal way to travel around the Island of Coronado. There are very few busy streets on Coronado and it takes only a few minutes to ride a bike from the Coronado Inn to the Coronado beach. Several local bicycle shops rent out bikes by the hour or by the day.

By Ferry

If you are looking for the most convenient way to travel to downtown San Diego, the ferry is the best choice. The Coronado/San Diego Ferry is located just two blocks away(map) from the Coronado Inn and is easily within walking distance. The ferry transports passengers between the Coronado Ferry Landing and the Broadway Pier in San DIego. The pier is only a short distance from many wonderful San Diego sites and restaurants.

The Coronado/San Diego Ferry leaves Coronado every hour on the :30 from 9:30am to 9:30pm (10:30pm on weekends), and returns from San Diego every hour from 9am-9pm on the hour. By Water Taxi

A more private trip across the bay can be achieved by using the San Diego Water Taxi. The water taxi is available upon request and makes trips anywhere across the San Diego Bay. It is a great way to visit great San Diego attractions. (619) 235-8294

By Bus

Public transportation is a great, inexpensive way to travel to San Diego. The Metropolitan Transit System services the Coronado and San DIego area, arriving outside of the Coronado Inn every 20 to 30 minutes. Use MTS Route 901 to travel to downtown.
